Through my work as the Sasaki Fellow for The Cultural Landscape Foundation, I produced the “What’s Out There Cultural Landscapes Guide” for Boston. Through this experience, I was challenged with documenting Boston’s cultural landscapes for digital publication in a collaborative guide between TCLF and the National Park Service. In order to achieve this, I researched over 80 unique landscapes, publishing essays and photographing each for their inclusion in the guide.
While the term “cultural landscape” is broad, encompassing a wide variety of landscape types and contextual conditions, I am most intrigued by urban landscapes. This is evidenced in my focus on the intersection between landscape and the built environment.
